When Two Ships In A Sea Travel Side By Side, They Tend To Come Closer, Why?

Share:

When two ships travel side by side in a sea, the velocity of water of narrow space in between the two ships increases in comparison to that of the water of the wide space beside the ships. According to Bernoulli’s theorem, the pressure in the narrow space decreases, and due to the excess pressure exerted by the water outside, the two ships tend to be closer.
